- As a result of the application of Regulation (EU) 2019/6, the AEMPS has adapted all the computer applications related to processes regulated according to the legislation to be repealed. Consequently, the payment of fees will also be modified, in accordance with the aforementioned regulation
- The system will reject those applications that do not correspond to the fee paid, so the AEMPS informs the applicants in order to avoid unnecessary workloads and economic losses
Due to the full application of Regulation (EU) 2019/6, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of December 11, 2018, on veterinary medicinal products, from January 28th, 2022 some procedures will change with respect to the current legislation.
In this context, given that the previous Community regulation (which is still in force) regulates procedures carried out through certain computer applications, it is essential to adapt them, including the one that centralizes the payment of fees for veterinary drugs.
The AEMPS, aware of the situation that this circumstance may cause to applicants, informs that all procedures that involve the payment of veterinary drug fees and that are requested from January 28th, 2022, will be processed in accordance with the precepts of Regulation (EU) 2019/6.
For this reason, and in order to allow the planning of the applications, it is also communicated that, if the applications are submitted after such date and the payment is made beforehand, the fees and their corresponding applications will be rejected by the new system, since that there will be no correspondence between the requested service and the fee paid.
In the event that this circumstance occurs, the applicant must request the refund of the amount, which will be granted if applicable, according to articles 125 and 126 of Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2015.
To avoid undue payments and the unnecessary corresponding bureaucratic burden, all applicants are urged to pay the fees in the same period in which they intend to submit the application to the AEMPS, that is, either before or after January 28, 2022.
